First hair cut in 2010

Had my first ever hair cut of the year. Hahaha yes, I couldnt take it anymore, just had to cut hair lol.

It was just a trim though. Because I was determined to keep my hair length for a while longer this year.

But after looking at my hair in the mirror just now, I thought maybe it can go a little shorter? It looks…plain and boring. Sigh.

I had my haircut today at snip avenue where they are known for their low priced services. $3.80 for a haircut. But I wouldnt go there for a change in hairstyle or anything dramatic though. Just a trim or cut fringe can la hahaha. ANWS my point is, I’m really curious about how and how much their hairstylists there are paid! lol lol

Anyways, I had dimsum buffet with the girls yesterday. It was good fun with my girls, needless to say, but I was feeling like crap since morning! Muscle aches and I dont know why I felt feverish and wanna puke! And when I laugh, I could feel suddenly sharp pain at either my chest area or at the ribs part. So weird right!!!

I’m now at episode 32 of the 9pm channel 8 show. Its quite good.But seriously, Jeanette Aw should be given a really ugly and daring role next time man! A total contrast to what we’ve been seeing her act in on tv dramas.Maybe as a chao ah lian who cant speak proper mandrin! I am so sick of her careful speaking whereby every single word has to be properly pronounced.

 Elvin Ng is cute!!Cute and so good to look at!! heeheehee.But i think he still gotta work on his diction man!!!!!

Today, finally paid the exam fees.Queue was looooooooong and madness I had like 101 ( yes, exact number) people infront of me!!!

Out of a sudden, I am determined to master the techniques of driving my dad’s car. A huge MPV. Not sure where the sudden determination came from and how long it will last though! Because I’m really afraid of driving in the night! I always get horned!!!!!knn

LOL this post is just random thoughts of the things I’m thinking of currently. And whoa I didnt know I’m capable of thinking of so many things at one time. Not bad.

HAPPY 2010!

Hope your NYE was good enough! Mine was awesome with my girlies and guys.Nothing beats welcoming a brand new year, reminiscing back our old school days together.

I invited the girls over for dinner. And before that, I cleaned up my room like theres no tomorrow.Seriously, I only work better under pressure lol!!! Nothing kills procrastination better than the excuse of inviting people over.

They came over to my house for a simple steamboat dinner. We gave shi hui a pleasant surprise! Bing zhe came later in the night and boy! you should have seen both their happy faces. LOL!!!

Played retarded games! I cannot play for nuts! Its basically as simple as no laughing throughout the entire game. But I kept bursting into long laughters!!

And when the clock stikes 12. (YAY finally can use the new calander and organiser!)

Then, angie was soooo nice to drive us over to pasir ris park! Whats a celebration without alcohol man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The smarty pants, me, brought peanuts over so we had something to munch! I know peanuts are very ah peks but I only this pack of peanuts at home.

The waiter was nice enough to help us take a group shot.

After drinks, we were all a little high. Stupid kah mo and bobo! They kept saying I smelled like ah pek!!!!!

Its Jan of 2010! A little scary, now that 2010 is officially here. I just hope that I will stop meeting all the wrong people.

Its the last day of the year

After tonight, it’ll be goodbye forever 2009. Goodbye forever to the 90s.

Hopefully we’ll all bid goodbye to all the bad things that happened this year. If we cant forget, maybe we should try to forgive and help ourselves move on man.

To be honest, if you ask me to recall whats my 2009 like, I can only remember the bad things. Well I remember fun and happy things too but its always those unhappy ones that stick out like a sore thumb.

2009 in as little words as possible!

In 2009, I had my first ever UOL examination. Studying for it was the worst for me. I cried almost everyday and my tears would land on my notes. Not kidding at all! I kept thinking about suicide ( LoL now) because I thought studying was such a torture for me and I hated everything about my life then! Thank god I cleared all my modules!

In 2009, I passed my driving! The third attempt! First two attempts with immediate failure. All three times 10 points. sigh lol!! Mother threatened to stop paying for my lessons if I fail again but thankfully I passed lol lol.

In 2009, I got cheated of about $50 for some retarded slimming product. knnb!

In 2009, I think I wasnt sure about my feeling towards someone and went ahead to sort of lead him on a little and I’m still sorry. But I dont think I will ever want to apologize face to face.

In 2009, I helped chased after three secondary school girls who shoplifted in a ntuc!!!

In 2009, I fell in love with the perfect guy of my dreams ( this proves that im realistic ok! my kinda guy actually exists!). But he was too in love with himself and he just cant seem to find time at all.

In 2009, I worked at this kids indoor playground,eXploraKids, and decided that next time my kids will be treated like recruits in the army.

In 2009, I had my first ever roadshow as the gillette girl.

In 2009, I headed to my favourite place, BKK with my dearest family and we had like loads of fun together! Looking forward to the next bkk trip! We headed to genting together too and I can only say, we’re not going up there ever again.

My 2009 was not too bad in summary. Definitely much better than the previous few years. But this year, time seemed to pass faster.

Its the last day of the year.Why do people always only find the need to say certain things at this time of the year. Similar logic as to why people just love to do last minute shopping?

Although its much easier, swallowing down the thoughts that might affect relationships,keeping everything to myself just like what I’ve been doing for the past one year or so, I thought maybe voicing something out may help make a difference.

I know I dont have many friends. But to be honest,I’m so contented the way I am now. I dont need like 5000  people at my funeral. I treat all my close friends like gems and precious stones. I dont expect them to recipocate, but I just want to say that it hurts to feel treated like a spare part you need as and when.

I know feelings change like how seasons change. You have your new friends and I have mine. The one thing I, lee jiayi, hate most, is feeling used. Whats with looking for me ONLY when you need help. Honestly, I dont even expect you to  save me if I were to fall into the deep sea. I just thought maybe I can do with a little respect from you?

I can say I’ve never let you down as a friend. I listen. But sometimes I just thought that you never really take what I’m saying seriously. Maybe sometimes I listen too much,people dont listen to me anymore.

Not voicing out doesnt mean it doesnt bother me. Because what bothers me the most, will,most of the time, never be heard.

I dont think I can take your jokes about my life anymore because I’ve had enough this year. I’ve thought about it and if need be, you can get out of my life. I’ll just take it from here. Thanks.

As always, hope 2010 will be a better year! I just hope it wont be worse. 2009 is just fine. Like maybe 65 out of 100. Just hope none of my friends my age get preggie or make girls pregnant in 2010! Not prepared to attend wedding and give ang baos!

Now lets hold up our imaginary champagne glass and cheers! To good health! To new love! To more money! To good results! To happiness because thats what makes the world go round together with money!

I want you to know

On Christmas day, some of us had an impromptu meet up for dinner at Miss clarity’s cafe. Never mind that I was one hour late because I overslept ( afternoon nap) , we had fun lah!

We were like lost sheeps, trying to make our way there.HAHAHA sorry la partly because of my bad sense of directions.

But we reached there just in time to fill our hungry tummies!

And I must say, the food there is really cheap and good!!! !!!

The brilliant me then came up with a brilliant idea! Since it was christmas day,we should do a gift exchange! And to make it even more exciting, we had to look for something within Watsons under $5!!

So funny! The watsons wasnt big enough, so the 4 of us kept meeting each other and had to try so hard to keep our chosen gift a secret.

On the 26, met up with kit ping at WS before meeting the rest to head to joyce’s place. She was nice enough to lend us her place for the gathering!

Didnt take much photos that day though. You know like most artistic people, you need to have the FEEL lah. I didnt have the feel to take photos that day ahahahahahahhhehe.

But Bing Zhe is the champion of the night! He lost so much weight I kept taking another look and think back at how he looked like in the past! Bing sao ah, jia you k.

After all the talking, catching up, gossiping,eating,laughing and bullying, 8 of us got into gena’s tiny car and it was the funniest part of the night man! The car was moving so slowly and someone asked gena to accelerate more, she said ‘I already pressing full leh!! ‘

On the 27th, it was Mother Lee’s 21st birthday!!! !!!

We had brunch at our favourite japanese restaurant!! Food was yummmmmers to the freaking max!

I love cha soba baby! The taste and the colour and the texture and the temperature! Love everything about it!

My brother totally dig the peas. He was innovative that day! He put the peas onto the unagi hotplate thingy and pretended to be a cook. The pea became hot and sweet from the teriyaki sauce. So we decided to praise him a little bit.

My pistachio mousse stick cake ( left) was good! My sis’s green tea one was yuck lah! I bet she was only pretending to be enjoying it.

Mother asked why we kept taking pictures of food and whether we were trying to make a menu. LOL!!!

Monsters’ day out!

Its the annual, highly anticipated Monsters’ Xmas gift exchange again!!!!

Whoa whoa whoa. How time flies man! One year is gone with a blink of an eye.

This year, our most anticipated gift exchange ceremony is held at Vivo’s rooftop once again, just like last year! ( hahahhaaha ceremony hahahh)

We had picnic and I brought mini potatoes!!!!! Ky brought chips and malteases.Rachy lim with her egg sandwiches. Lim yp was so nice she brought along her precious 8 pieces of soh tah piahs with kaya. And she ate like 4 pieces.

Needless to say, we had a crazy time drawing lots,laughing at each other ( most of the time laughing at rachel), and basically being damn comfortable and happy with each other’s company!

Honestly, I think I got the best gift! heeheehee thanks ky!

After shopping at vivo, we headed over to the coffeeshop near yp’s place for supper. Maggie goreng, indian rojak, ice rose syrup with lime. (Its 2.05am now and I swallowed my saliva about three times while typing that last sentence. Hungry! ) Me and rach took a cab home thereafter.

Christmas is just a few days away!!! Its a season of giving so hope you’ll be feeling generous enough to buy me a gift. Or alternatively, you can just give me cash! I accept cash, NETS,Visa,Master,GIRO and cheque.

KNS that reminds me! I just received an early christmas present from school. A letter telling me that… ITS TIME TO PAY FOR MY EXAM FEES!!!! !!!!! !!!!!

sucked to the max.

Okay not to the max, but sucked enough for me not to ever want to go there again.

This post it full of nothing good about the trip so if you happen to LOVE the trip you’ve been to very much, please dont read okay? I’m just typing down what I really felt about the trip and the place.

Honestly, other than the company of my dearest family ( little cousin is so cute!! and funny lol!), nothing is enjoyable.

I guess its just plain bad luck man. We shouldnt have planned this trip in december, where everyone else is in the holiday mood and the weather is all about how big and heavy the rain will be. My gosh I dont remember genting to be that packed and crowded the last time I was there ( many years ago) !!!!!!

The many rude people and staffs we’ve met there is enough to make my blood re-boil right now!! WTF is wrong with the people working there. No smiles,wrong working attitude and slacking too much! They all must be really unhappy with the small pathetic amount of pay and no bonus,be stuck high up there and tons of people owning them money dont want to pay back. Okay, feel a little sorry for them BUT WTF ITS YOUR FUCKING JOB MAN!

Hello? If you’re working at a theme park or the hotel’s arcade, with children and tourists in happy holiday mood, arent you supposed to AT THE VERY FUCKING LEAST find a smile and plant it on your face. Whats wrong with all the dont talk to me, talk to my hand sign when people come up to you with a question.

Oh and I totally hate the other tourists there. I think I just cannot live in any other of our neighbouring countries. CULTURE SHOCK MAN!!!! Just plain RUDE. Period.

OH and its amazing how the place managed to maintain somewhat the same as what I vividly remembered when I was there many years ( more than 5!) ago. WHY?? why no upgrading at all?????? tsktsk. Where did all the money you’ve earned go to?

One (and only) exciting thing about the trip was, me and sister managed to sneak into the casino and walked around for a good 15 minutes before we just couldnt stand the smoke anymore. Only one conclusion, my sister look very chao lao.

ONE more thing I want to bitch about!!! !!! If you were to eat at a place other than a restaurant where theres people serving you, be prepared to lose your appetite! Their food court have like a retarded system whereby you have to go order your food at the stall, get a piece of paper with your orders on it,go to the cashier, pay up, get the receipt and go back to the stall with the receipt, wait somemore.  Chee gek ah! By the time I already full with anger can!

How can a holiday be enjoyable when wherever you go, you have to be mindful of little children running around everywhere in that small area, elbowing people and getting elbowed ( knn), getting pushed by random lao aunties for nothing, smokers smoking everywhere, the lack of entertainment!

Thank god the bus ride to and back was pretty okay because it was our first time on the Five Star coach. That was pretty exciting.

All in all, never ever want to go back there again unless the company is good enough!

OKAY I’ve bitched enough. woohoo feel so good now. Meeting monsters later! FULL FORCE AGAIN yipee yay!
